Privacy Policy

What we collect when you use joinfootlove.net, why we collect it, and how you stay in control. The short version: very little, and we never sell it.

Last updated: October 15, 2026

The short version: no account needed, no analytics or ad trackers by default, and we never sell your personal information. The only personal data we actively collect is what you choose to send us through our contact form.

Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how the operators of joinfootlove.net (“Foot Love,” “we,” “us” or “our”) handle personal information when you visit our website, read our guides and blog, or contact us. We are an independent information site for adults, not a marketplace, and we don’t process payments or host seller content. We are the controller of the personal information described here.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you use our contact form, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, subject and message. Please don’t include sensitive information such as identity documents, financial details or photos in your message. We don’t need it.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when your browser requests a page. These server logs may include your IP address, browser and device type, the pages or files requested, the referring page, and date and time stamps. We use them only to keep the site running, secure and free from abuse.

Cookies and browser storage

We keep this deliberately minimal:

  • Admin session cookie. A strictly necessary cookie set only when a site administrator signs in to our admin area. Ordinary visitors never receive it.
  • Call-to-action preference. If you dismiss the floating “start selling” bar, a small flag is saved in your browser’s sessionStorage so the bar stays hidden while you browse. It stays on your device, isn’t sent to us, and is cleared when you close the tab.

We don’t currently use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies. If we ever add them, we’ll update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

How We Use Your Information

  • To read and reply to your messages, questions, corrections and requests.
  • To detect and prevent spam, fraud, abuse and security incidents.
  • To operate, maintain and troubleshoot the website.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms Of Use.

We don’t use your information for profiling or automated decision-making, and we don’t add you to marketing lists. We’ll only email you to reply to what you sent us.

Legal Bases For Processing

If you’re in the European Economic Area, the UK or a region with similar laws, we rely on these legal bases:

  • Consent, when you choose to submit the contact form. You can withdraw it at any time by asking us to delete your message.
  • Legitimate interests, to respond to enquiries, keep the site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and fix technical problems, always balanced against your rights.
  • Legal obligation, where we must keep or disclose information to comply with the law.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We only share it in these limited cases:

  • Service providers. Our website is hosted by Vercel, and contact form submissions are stored with our database provider. They act as our processors and may only use the data to provide their services to us.
  • Legal requirements. If required by law, court order or a valid request from a public authority, or where needed to protect our rights, our visitors or the public.
  • Change of operator. If the site is transferred to new operators, the information may transfer with it and will remain protected by this policy.

Affiliate Links And Third-Party Sites

Some buttons and links on Foot Love are affiliate links to third-party platforms, including FeetFinder. When you click one, you leave our site. The partner site may set its own cookies to record that you arrived from us, and anything you do there is governed by its own terms and privacy policy, not this one.

We don’t receive your account, ID or payment details from partners, only aggregated referral and commission reports. Read a partner’s privacy policy before you sign up, and see our Affiliate Disclosure for how these links work.

How Long We Keep Information

  • Contact form messages are kept while we handle your enquiry and any follow-up, then deleted when no longer needed, typically within 12 months.
  • Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own retention practices, then deleted or overwritten automatically.
  • The admin session cookie expires when the administrator signs out or the session times out, and the sessionStorage flag is cleared when you close the browser tab.

We may keep information longer if the law requires it, or to resolve a dispute or abuse report.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including HTTPS encryption, access controls on our admin area and database, and limiting access to the people who run the site. No website is completely secure, but if a breach affects your data we’ll act promptly and notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires it.

International Transfers

Our service providers may store or process information in countries other than the one you live in, including the United States. Where personal data from the EEA or UK is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses offered by our providers.

Adults Only: Children’s Privacy

Foot Love is intended only for adults aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your information.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Data portability, meaning a copy of your data in a commonly used format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that already happened.

California and other US state residents with comprehensive privacy laws may also have the right to know what personal information we collect and disclose, to request access, correction and deletion, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. In the past 12 months we collected identifiers (name, email address, IP address), message contents and internet activity data (server logs) for the purposes above. We have not sold personal information or shared it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

How to exercise your rights

Send a request through our contact page. Include the email address you used to contact us so we can find your data. We may need to verify your identity, and we’ll respond within the time required by law. Where allowed, you may use an authorised agent, and you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, make the update clearly visible on the site.
